People in my country have gone to prison over sexually explicit drawn images of children. So it's pretty fucked up to include them in an article for a general public that includes readers from countries where these images fall under child porn laws.

Depends on where you live. There are numerous countries where sexually explicit drawn/animated representations of minors are considered child porn. I live in one of those countries.
