I can’t hate on people who don’t salt their foods because of high blood pressure or diabetes either. Bland food is better than dropping dead of a heart attack in your late 40s.
I’m not going to hate on people doing that shit though. There are legit dietary intolerances that prevent people from eating wheat based foods. And Atkins-type diets can be used for effective weight loss, and if having to eat cauliflower in place of carbs prevents someone from developing diabetes later in life then…
Technically, potato salads in Northern Germany are mayo based. Which is probably where American style derives from. But it usually has salt, pepper, a bit of mustard, red and fresh herbs like chives or parsley.
I'll give it to you that Utena is the better of the two. If only because Eva falls apart at the ending. But I still think Eva is mostly a good show.
This. I love real maple syrup. Who doesn’t? But I make a bottle last as long as I can. I choose to eat pancakes or waffles very rarely to avoid the expense of syrup.
Please trust me when I tell you that a traditional german potato salad is as different from white americas potato salad as your potato salad is. I'm not going to ask you to try it, because you have your food traditions and they are valuable. But German potato salad is delicious too.
I dunno. My cottage pie has tons of flavour. Must be the guinness, marmite, and well-sauteed mushrooms I add.
I grew up in Toronto. Huge Caribbean community, especially Jamaican and Trini. Even the white people call it plan-tin. Lol.
Whole black peppercorn, coarse salt, soy sauce, mirin, worcestershire, bay leaf, chilli powder, cinnamon, ginger (powdered and fresh), dry mustard, old bay, montreal spice, dried oregano, marmite, cayenne, nutmeg, lemons and limes, tabasco, cumin. I know some of those aren’t spices, but the non-spice ingredients are…
This. Some of us white folks come from families that still eat the foods that were eaten in the old country. Traditional European foods are really good.
Worcestershire is a great addition for a steak marinade. The natural glutamate compounds it contains act to enhance the beefs own flavours. Marmite or soy sauce could also serve that purpose.
I like HP better than A1, but I don't actually use it on steak. Steak sauce is delicious on fried eggs though.
Coarse salt and pepper are good for seasoning steak. Garlic is a good flavouring with steak as well, as long as you don’t add so much that the meat is overpowered. A squeeze of lemon juice is tasty on a steak.
I have tried and I just can't get on the replace carbs with cauliflower train. It just isn't the same. It's like when vegans try to say their fake milk is as good as the real thing. It just isn't. There are no replacements for pasta, potatoes, bread, rice, and various other starchy foods. I love my starches lol.
I think I would enjoy your mushroom stuffing, but I happen to love mushrooms. I assume you brown them off before adding them?
Raisins also belong covered in chocolate. Or in cinnamon raisin bread. Or in the GORP you pack for a camping trip. Or in various Moroccan dishes such as mrouzia. Or in a Christmas stollen.
Scrolling down to your comment, I didn't see a single defense of this guy. Can I have some of whatever youre smoking?
Even Crunchyroll and Funi don't simulcast every show they acquire, do they? I just don't understand why people can't wait a couple of months for a show that isn't simulcast. It's not a problem of service, it's a problem of the idiot people who make up modern society lacking patience and forbearance.
Provinces are responsible for the prosecution of criminal cases. Criminal cases, if I recall my civics classes correctly, aren’t tried federally unless they go to a federal appeals court. I think. But each province is applying the same Criminal Code that can only be amended at the federal level. They all follow the…
