P.S. Over a third of the countries population lives in Ontario. It might be hard for someone in flyover country to understand, but we matter more than you.

I’m confused. When exactly did Ontario secede? The last I checked, when an American drives across the Queenston-Lewiston bridge, they’re entering Canada.

And will widen to $1.95 next year. Both of which are closer to 2 dollars than 1 dollar.

I guess that would make sense, if caramel were cokes only flavouring. Or even its primary flavouring.

Two dollars lower in Ontario, which is by far the most populous province.

I keep seeing these comments about romaine having no flavour and it’s confusing me. I’ve always found romaine to be slightly bitter.

You could be correct about that. Labour laws, including wage minimums, are provincial jurisdiction in Canada.

And in all of what you wrote, I don’t see a single god damned reason not to tip, until such a time as the entire system changes in a manner that renders tip culture unnecessary. Anyone looking for a reason why they shouldn’t have to tip is really looking for an excuse to be cheap, selfish, and classless.

People come to America looking for a better life. Then their passports are stolen from them, and they become victims of systematic abuse and exploitation. It’s called labour trafficking, and it happens in many industries. Construction, agriculture, garments, sex work, and yes, food service.

Restaurant workers have a lower minimum wage than the rest of society. Most servers make minimum wage + tips. The same is true of bartenders. And hosts, bar backs, bus staff, food runners, and dishwashers make minimum wage + a very small percentage of the wait staff and bartenders tips.

No, I’m Canadian and most restaurant servers make minimum wage + tips, unless they’re working in a very high end establishment. And minimum wage for restaurant staff is lower than for other jobs.

In the last decade that I’ve worked in kitchens, I don’t think I’ve met a single server that reports all their tips come tax time. Not one. They report just enough to make things look on the level, but trust me, it isn’t on the level. And that’s why most servers would rather work for tips.

Maybe read the actual article. You should at least read about something before trying to talk about it.

Bethesda shut nothing down. They were only told they couldn’t use voice assets from the original game, probably for contractual issues with the voice actors who played the parts. Or so I assume. The New Vegas in Fallout 4 team were told the same thing, and have chosen to move forward by rerecording all the dialogue in

Bethesda have never shut down a single player fan made expansion to one of their games. They did shut down a multiplayer mod at one point.

Ms. D’Anastasio, I must respectfully disagree with your closing paragraph. After watching the first six episodes, I think Karen/Llenn is being portrayed as having developed a bit more confidence in real life because of her success in the game.

I see Final Fantasy Adventure, so I guess your edit worked.

For me, Super Mario RPG, FFXII, Final Fantasy Legend II; and Suikoden I, II, and V also reach that top tier.

At the developer level, ESO doesn’t affect Bethesda Game Studios since ESO is developed by Zenimax Online. On a publishing level, Bethesda Softworks has published multiple single player games in recent years from various development studios.
