I’ve never been in the camp that an actor needs to fully resemble real-life people they’re portraying (it’s led to some terrible fat suit prosthetics in recent years) but some are so iconic that it’s distracting if they don’t. Elvis falls into that category.

does it really though?

You guys never demand Pitch Black. Damn tragedy and scandal.

Weird how cops are so good at bringing in these heavily armed and outfitted white supremacist killers alive but can’t seem to get George Floyd or Eric Garner in the back of a squad car without oopsie doopsie murdering them

That’s okay, because anything that would reduce the amount of Rachel Weisz we get should be banned.

Now playing

Stone has still been funny in Zombieland, Croods, Maniac, Cruella, The Favourite, and her SNL appearances have all been aces. this is basically a short film that’s 100% gold.

Don’t mind me, I’m just rolling around in all this sweet, sweet money I get for negging on NFTs, paid by... paid by... um... you know... the anti-NFT lobby!

Daily Beast says immediately after the attack, Chappelle made a joke of his own, reportedly saying the assailant was a “trans man”

I don’t want to spoil the end of The Walking Dead, but Daryl finally crossbows all the zombies in North America.

Then he and Carol ride a motorcycle to Europe.

Watching a couple of previous entries to understand a few references is hardly homework. Whoever is going will have already seen ‘em.

WTF is beefaroo?

Exactly, adults who enjoy anything outside of their designated age range is frankly weird and creepy.

I will mourn American Dad! whenever it goes. TBS apparently just let them go even more hog wild than before, and it’s paid off. Mostly. Not every episode’s a winner, sure, but I’m so glad it’s still around.

Counterpoint: he is being described as some kind of maniac, one who needs to be high or loaded all the time.

Fuck Mark Wahlberg and his racist past, his insistence that he’d have personally stopped 9/11, his inclusion of an antisemite in a religious movie, and his creepy shift from racist underwear model to guy that wants to preach to you.

None of this is based in reality. Be quiet, and let your betters talk.

I think you may be misunderstanding a bit how this stuff works. What we have here is a snippet of legally vetted description of the incident. What actually happened, in context, likely made someone feel uncomfortable (or objectified or threatened) enough that the people in the know saw it as a fireable offense.

No

It’s not ok when a 21 year old guy does it, or a 40 year old guy or an 80 year old guy. It isn’t ok or ‘cute’. keep your hands to yourselves; train yourselves to stop making sexual innuendoes.

If an actor hasn’t learned not to sexually harass people by the age of 84, it seems like he doesn’t have a lot of time left to figure it out.

Genuinely, what did he do with his time away? What has he learned about the impact his choices had on women, financially, emotionally, psychologically? What sort of restitution has he made to his victims? I think there should be a pathway to redemption. Accountability does not end with fessing up to what you did, it
