As a male who has no problem with most TV wives, interfering or otherwise, the whole Skylar issue really irritates me. I know theres a lot of sexism and disgusting stuff in the cloud of hatred directed at her, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed hate her too, right? I know, I know, poor me.

Animation college graduate here. Degree or not, you only get anywhere in 'doodling' (as my father calls it) if you work hard and keep the passion alive. For the most part these courses get filled up with people who can't do that...but maybe she's the one...

Well that's depressing.

Very good story and something kids should see...but maybe could do without the links to the vids and pics.

...so she's trapped in a sort of limbo state between the two: too recognizable to feel safe, not recognizable enough to support herself...

Nah, I prefer homemade looking stuff than polished, in comics at least. The 'naive' aesthetic...even if it's the only one she's capable of. Lovely stuff.

I like the pencil colouring. Nice to see non digital work (unless this is actually done digitally in which case I will be mortified).

Misinterpreted.

That's funny, you view the world as a pretty shitty place, and though I agree with you that it is, it's for another reason entirely. It has clearly shown you so much actual injustice that your perception has been warped to the point where you believe we treat Kanye like a horses ass not because he is one but because

I'd find it hard to pinpoint why I dislike her. I've got nothing against capable and sensible women, (Sarah Connor's my favourite action hero), Walt did need to be reigned in and I've got no problems with interfering spouses (I love Marie and Tony Soprano's wife). In the case of Skylar, I'm afraid the best I can come

What if I just find her face and mannerisms annoying? Keeping in mind I feel this way about plenty of men too.

I like women. I dislike Skylar. I don't see a problem with this.

You know, it's possible she's just unlikable. I know a lot of women who don't like her. And a lot of men who love many powerful female protagonists and also dislike Skylar. There is a misogynistic element to the Skylar hating crowd out there...but lets not let that distract from that fact that she was a pretty

No, he was quite famously a massive jerk. Great actor though.

I'd recently gotten into Le Tigre but I found Bikini Kill separately. They were mentioned in an interview with some producer who was complaining about bands that 'sold out.' He had them listed alongside Sonic Youth, and well, I love Sonic Youth, so I took his complaint as more of a complement. It wasn't until I heard

Yeh I know, I didn't say I was on her side. I was complaining about the phrasing and quote you chose which implied that you had a problem with people changing music taste over a given amount of time.

Not that I'm on her side, but how much of a time frame is needed to get to know something and say you love it? I only found Bikini Kill the other day and right now they're my favourite band.

I guess.

He must be from the Philip Seymour Hoffman school of acting.

He didn't hate her. He did it to keep her spooked. I don't necessarily endorse the method but they were on good terms with each other.
