I just gave the plate number to the RCMP (I am from Canada) and it took them that long to do anything about it. I guess maybe because they only stole my skates, an iPod, and my camera tripod, they didn’t spend much resources on it?

B5.5 Passat 1.8T owner here.
No mention of a mint condition, barely-driven white PT-cruiser with wood paneling? Je suis disappointed.
As a kid growing up in Hong Kong, I somehow got into cars fairly early despite it not being part of the culture. My parents were never enthusiasts and my family didn't even have a car until I was 7. I don't quite know how I got into cars, really — all I can remember was that I started playing with some toy cars…
I have no problem with car manufacturers trying to be more generalist. If BMW wants to make an ridiculous M-powered SUV slash grand tourer slash coupe slash elongated Chinese special, they can — after all, it seems like that's where the money is at.
With a wagon you can do this
I currently drive a 03' B5.5 Passat wagon 1/8T manual. Here in Vancouver, Golf / Jetta wagons are fairly popular (usually equipped with DSG though... Because nobody knows how to drive stick nowadays). That said, people somehow still prefer their Camrys and X6s over a wagon.
