-Rory’s a writer, of course he has words. We’re just lucky, genre-wise, none of them were “turgid”.

(turning to steel won’t help you serve burgers to ravenous meat-zombies any faster).

He should still be required to wear his doofy finned helmet at all times.  It’s already paid for & they’re not getting their money’s worth out of it.

I consider him as Nate a glue guy for the Legends, has good chemistry with everyone, can contribute in a variety of ways. I liked in the first episode this season when everyone freaked out about Sara’s disappearance, he was the one who kept his head & offered full support to Ava, as he earlier had done to Zari in her

I’m not surprised to see him admit that the reason he doesn’t use his powers much is because of budget. But, with all the science, magic, etc on this show it would have been easy to give him an “upgrade” where he looks normal (except maybe steel eyes or something?) when he uses his powers, and just handwave the budget

Legends has the characters’ bad decisions lead to fun outcomes, I think that’s key to the audience forgiving them.

It’s not that a hero with severe and consistent flaws can’t be enjoyable; Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow have often been at their best when leaning into their leads’ tendency to make horrible decisions.

You’ve watched television before?

Smallville used to raise the same questions because they would sometimes jaunt off to Metropolis like it was nothing more than a day trip, if that.

well, Sarah got to meet Superman, so this episode I guess didn’t *totally* suck for her

Lois and Lana continue to have perhaps the show’s most interesting relationship, mercifully free (I think?) of jealousy or rivalry, but instead with obvious mutual respect.

The show is certainly consistent about Barry being an idiot & not listening to anyone, but that does not make it less frustrating.

I still want to see them do real Chronos & embrace his ostentatious costume.

I still want to hear Zari’s version of the dragon empowerment song.

Zari singing, yes, always. This was a fun romp overall but her and Jon’s duet was just so sweet.

Continuing to love that Gary’s An Alien turn, and particularly how he keeps holding his arms up in their ‘natural’ state even when he’s got his disguise on.

For anyone else who cares, did you catch the SPACE CABBIE mention?!

Yes, the Space Cabbie shout-out was great. Probably best kept as an Easter Egg though. My knowledge of him mostly comes from his appearance in James Robinson’s Starman, which I don’t recall liking very much.

Somewhere deep in hell, Damien Darhk is very happy about Johnny C, the London street magician.
