If you carry just a couple, then messenger would be fine, as with such a bag you carry the weight mostly on one shoulder, if the load is heavy for you, then its better for your back and shoulders to distribute the

I'm always happy to provide / share chargers as well as battery packs to power hungry devices during long collaboration design sessions with many collaborators who seem to forget their chargers / cables in conf. rooms that have only one power outlet or sometimes none. These days sharing power is equal to caring. :-)

You are right. I wouldn't take all of this on a two week long backpacking trip. I don't do back packing trips daily. This is my every day carry.

Redundant true, however, throughout the day, the iPad and bluetooth keyboard is used for design session and prototyping sketches. My Pebble keeps my step count ( via Moves app and Beats app) as well as notifications from meeting invites and messages so I don't have to pull out my phone in middle of meetings. Macbook
