The bun image is common, but there are exceptions. Bird’s Eye go for the bun on all their packaging, Findus don’t. The brands that emphasise the quality of their meat will usually ignore buns. Some burgers are packaged sans image. And as I mention somewhere else, the likes of Wimpy will serve burgers without buns.

In the spirit of recycling, the real answer is Soylent Green.

I’m rater fond of a cheese called Stichelton - which is a Stilton-style cheese produced in the Chilterns. Originally they wanted to call it Stilton, but couldn’t. My thought is the different name marks it as a distinct and excellent product.

Or you could just go to Sainsbury’s.

I’m cooking ostrich burgers tonight - which I bought in Morrison’s who usually have some venison on hand. Might mix some cranberries and port with them.

Just remember that “plant” is Cymraeg for “child”.  

Noting, there has been a venison glut in the UK for some years now, though a lot of supermarkets still treat it as a premium product. Strangely, Lidl import theirs from Austria.
