It was originally called ‘Johnson’s Beef Fluid’, so I guess it was kind of liquidy to begin with but was later reworked as a paste. You can get granules and stock cube variants.

1) Use it to make gravy or sauces. 2) Put a teaspoon or two in a mug, pour on hot water and drink like soup. 3) Use it like a spread.
