The Golden Horn covered this a few years back. I would stick up a link but the sub-blogs were killed off recently. Intrigued, I gave it a go with a tin of Diet Dr Pepper but I wasn’t enthusiastic about the result. Any tips? Should I be adding Canderel?

Not to say they aren’t out there in the wider universe, but I haven’t seen those chocolate selection packs shaped like a stocking this year. On the other hand the finger of Fudge has seen off the Oreo invasion so all is well in the world.
Do you eat cheese? Local legend has it that the rockmen in these parts ate cheese and jam sandwiches for lunch. That would usually be strawberry, but trying it out led me to cheese and marmalade on toast which is kind of delicious.
He loved the smell of bacon frying, had his own bacon slicer (to make it paper thin), and sometimes made bacon and marmalade sandwiches as a teatime treat for his children.
I’d forgotten about the Clanger, though Bedfordshire is a bit of a trek from Cornwall.
