Our local chippy is running a takeaway service, so Friday I had cod and chips but my pickled onion turned into two pickled eggs. I do not like pickled eggs. Being able to sit in again will be a blessing.
Am I being dim here, but you say “grilled cheese” then talk of frying? Isn’t the point of using the grill to avoid frying?
According to Which? there is no wholesale evidence of rising food prices in the UK, though I’m inclined to think the goal posts have shifted in all kinds of corners. If nothing else the options to shop around are diminished, at least out here in the styx.

I’ve already mentioned pestering my mum for melon and ginger.
They say it is “The perfect marriage of Heinz [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise and Heinz Tomato Ketchup”. Pretty sure they used to call it Seafood sauce (the stuff with horseradish notwithstanding).
This side of the pond, Heinz have been offering a delivery service. Ten quid gets you a basic pack of beans, soup and hoops, or a selection of sauces. The baby food pack is £20.
