I was mulling this over, as well. Outside of straight up going “Whelp, ya’ll caught me!” and chortling evilly as he bolted from the room, I don’t really understand what Jez wanted from Biden. This was pretty much the only move to be expected.

I’m curious - how else is someone supposed to respond when accused of something they didn’t do, other than essentially call the accuser a liar? (words he did not use)

Because “listen to women” means “every woman should be unequivocally believed without qualification”?

That’s all elections are. It’d be great if you could fix all the problems by electing a single person, but that isn’t how this works.

She’s not stupid, though; she’s got a PhD is physics. 😉

Didn’t have to watch the video. I have been living it in the comfort of my own own. Every fucking commercial break is these type of commercials one after the other.

To your last paragraph - anyone thinking about sitting out or voting third party because their preferred candidate didn’t get the nod doesn’t worry about any of those issues or causes, because they have more than enough privilege to get through the next 4 years.

Oh for fuck sake.

At least a used condom might’ve stopped a virus

Yes, the NYT had a really illuminating article a few Sundays ago which highlighted how unwilling Bernie was to build a coalition or reach out to any Democrats beyond those in his inner circle. Even with AOC, Warren was courting her for months before Bernie even picked up the phone to talk to her.

Adjacent to this is his notable lack of work to prepare anyone else to take over the movement-it’s been the Bernie show from day one, and he’s given no indication that he wants anyone else on center stage. These are not new criticisms, and realistically I think if he wanted to get his agenda into the White house, he

“He behaves like he wants to break the Democratic Party up which, you know, is going to be unpopular with establishment Democrats.”

he bested Sanders in every state in the county.

Jezebel pieces are written aaaalmost like a normal newspaper article sometimes, but then you get lines like “Many still unfairly hold Sanders accountable for Clinton’s defeat in 2016.”

Don’t care. I’ll vote for a used condom before I vote for Trump.

“and his tendency to avoid certain niceties—singing the Democratic party’s praises, buttering up the press—made him an abrasive figure for some”

Bernie’s “base” are the exact type of people who endlessly complain, and when given a golden opportunity to actually change their circumstance, can’t be bothered to get off the couch and actually exercise their basic civil responsibility.

Many still unfairly hold Sanders accountable for Clinton’s defeat in 2016, and his tendency to avoid certain niceties—singing the Democratic party’s praises, buttering up the press—made him an abrasive figure for some.

His pissbaby supporters are all over twitter congratulating trump for four more years.
