My guess: They did the ‘new’ design of him first....and some flunky power executive above the paygrade came back screaming about how ‘it doesn’t look different’ and ‘how dare you copy this...what am I paying you for?!?’.

Just get Kate Micucci to star in these kinds of films and call it a day.

Yep - I point to this show anytime someone tells me I just don’t “get it” with “edgy comedy”. Always Sunny is hilarious because it’s smart, all-inclusive in its mockery and definitely not punching down. The creators of the show know the gang is better than exactly NO ONE, and they always prove it. Insult comedians…

I haven’t seen any of It’s Always Sunny... this season, but I thought last season’s “Times Up for the Gang” and “The Gang Solves the Bathroom Problem” showed how you can get a lot of laughs out of “woke culture” without being straight up alt-right assholes about it.

I love that Japan only really started to embrace Halloween in recent years, and they’re already way better at celebrating it than we are. Wheres our Halloween parades??

This was alsmost overwhelming. And also was overwhlemingly good. So many great costumes, I don’t even know where to begin. Loved Superman in the classic strongman style suit. The Jean Grey rubberised outfit at the end, so great, Marvel should put that on screen. The Mysterio CG suit, classic. I could go on forever.

It would actually be decent if it was a video game movie instead of a specifically Mario movie. Put references to Sonic. Have them use Doom weapons. Do Mortal Kombat moves and throw a heidoken. Same story but mixed up with a bit of Tron.

Honestly, the movie is much better in retrospect. I’ve seen so many modern terrible movies now, SMB actually seems like a fun weird sci-fantasy movie.
