In addition, Epic says that Tencent is one of many investors, not a shadowy dictator.

I had the same reaction as Nathan when I started to play Outward. I personally found it a little charming, since I’m nostalgic for RPGs of those days. It looks like a 15-year-old game with modern lighting/atmospheric effects and not-as-modern texture resolutions.

I considered this, but the staff is like, 6 pounds, and occupies your hands.

Honestly, I just interpreted it as it renders stereoscopicly so it appears 3D.

It’s absolutely great when developers cater to the special needs of folks. I applaud them for it, but only because I think they’re going beyond what they need to.

It’s been a while since I’ve played through ACIII, but my impression of Connor is that it was largely frustrating to spend time with him. He’s constantly grumbling, being sent about doing thing for other people instead of really perusing his own interests. And even at the end of the game he’s betrayed and has his

Bless your heart. I guess I’ll have to be the one to break it to you, but everything a corporation does is a shameless cash grab.

I’m not saying white lies aren’t compatible with the Golden Rule— I understand that many people like being lied to for whatever reason— I’m saying that the Golden Rule is a bad, short-sighted, egocentric (although well-meaning) rule. It makes the presumption that other people are identical to you.

I disagree with you hard. Also, I feel like true politeness factors in what the other party considers polite.

Oh, damn. It’s been a while since I’ve played, apparently.

Feel free to give your money to someone you feel deserves it more.

Heresy! What’s next? Mouse support?!

There are fewer better poster children for shitty automation than self-checkout. I have literally never, as in not one single time, successfully completed a checkout at a self-service station in a grocery store without having to call a human employee over.

I loved to draw as a kid, but my ideas were always more important than my skill. If someone I admired liked my ideas enough to execute them better than I did, I would absolutely love it.

So he’s the president of Nintendo, but I can’t fault him for anything bad that Nintendo does.

Luke grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Rey grew up in a hostile settlement on Jakku. Luke’s trouble with using the force was always his disbelief in it. He needs to see Yoda lift the X-Wing before he can do it. Rey, like the movie going audience, is already aware of the capabilities of the force.

I guess this is not the same, but similar— I’ve notice some games will make their worlds seem bigger by using paths that switch back and forth. Basically, it’s very difficult to bee-line it to anywhere. It’s a very similar technique that theme parks will employ (Islands of Adventures in Orlando is a great example of
