The movie is fine. The science is bad, but so many other movies get a pass on that. This movie was going for a haunted house in space, and it worked. We got to see some weird things, and that’s all the movie was trying to do. I liked the weird things.

You should care. It’s a gaping hole in your logic for you to think that “animations that can be cancelled” means “only button mashing matters”.

Yes, sometimes it would make more sense for you to be able to break the animation... If it makes you feel any better, the monsters commit to their attacks, too, which leaves you openings that you can punish through solid play.

“Commitment Actions”— This kind of thing has been discussed, but isn’t the definition fuzzy? I mean, can you cancel a jab in Street Fighter? (I literally don’t know this for sure, because I don’t play the game)

I didn’t realize that they got rid of the weather. While I never liked playing on the maps with rain or fog, I think that’s a good thing. It makes me appreciate a clear day more, if that makes sense to anyone. Similarly, I don’t like the red zone, but I don’t think they should remove it. Maybe if they change it so…

You shouldn’t have to worry too much about overheating your CPU. The motherboard should have safeguards to automatically shutdown if the CPU gets dangerously hot.

I’m not much of an LP person, but I absolutely loved watching Daniel Floyd’s Dark Souls virgin playthroughs on Extra Play. Watching someone stumble through Lordran for the first time is magic.

My issue with Connor in the game is that he wasn’t really driven by his own motivations. He just started doing things that people told him to do, and he didn’t really like it. The parts where I liked Connor where actually in the bits where you were help building the homestead.
