One major problem with that is that the team would be working with outdated information. Despite being billed as a prequel, Half-Life: Alyx does in fact have a significant impact on the Half-Life continuity. Exactly!  And I played New Dawn or whatever the side game was.  It was ok.  I had fun with it.  But like you said, that’s not Far Cry to me.  They might as well have called that something else.

I hope so. The nuclear fallout thing was dumb and out of place in this game world. They kind of painted themselves into a corner unless they just retcon that whole thing.
