Saban are notoriously litigious though. They basically ruined Chroma Squad because they’d prefer a paltry amount of money over good press.

I hate how there are so many ways for game developers to get fucked over. Buying from G2A and the like, as well as buying used from GameStop, is bullshit. Buy new. Buy digital. Support the people who frequently work in shitty conditions, with shitty hours, and wobbly job stability to create the things you love.

Actually, Resident Evil 5 is Capcom’s most successful game of all time; far from a disappointment. If anything, Resident Evil 6 was the one benefiting from the good faith from 5—it’s Capcom’s second most successful game, behind RE5.

I agree. I think people are gunshy of the brand now after getting burnt by the previous two main entries and some shitty offshoots like Umbrella Corps. Hopefully Capcom is aware of that and had realistic expectations for RE7.

RE5 was coming off of the good faith of RE4. RE6 after the disappointment of RE5. This however was marketed incredibly well with an excellent demo to showcase what to expect along with it being easy content for letsplays. It was definitely going to do better than 6 but noy 5 atleast not yet, I think word of mouth will…
