Thank goodness. I kinda need a break from new releases after how busy this fall was.

I mean, they are pushing the index pretty hard. So I don’t think they’re out of the hardware business, just diverting resources towards VR instead of controllers.

Yeah, the thing is too cheap to pass up even if I don’t see myself using it. If nothing else it’s a cool thing to have.

Yeah, and as we all know, President Trump has never lied about anything ever.

Fair enough, Still, I’m not sure I want to spend that kind of money to play one game. Also I don’t really have the space for it, truth be told.

Whatever, dude, I’m not interested in getting involved in this argument.

Companies also used to suffer massive setbacks or even go out of business by gambling on their ability to push hard via their games.

Fair enough, I don’t have a stake one way or the other. I am just annoyed that I can’t afford a VR headset to play a single game. Valve can do what they want. I gave up on a new Half Life game years ago so not much has changed on my end. Besides, March is gonna be a busy month for games anyway.

I mean, he ain’t wrong about you being a jerk, dude. Calling people that don’t want to adopt super expensive hardware for one game they’re interested in doesn’t make people “ridiculous, entitled Luddites. That just makes you sound like an out of touch jerk. I can’t speak to what he’s done on other comment sections

I mean, I’m all about bashing Gamergate and supporting LGBT+ people and women yet I still can’t afford a VR headset so...Yeah no that’s nonsensical bullshit.

Just pull yourself up by your boot straps and stop being poor! Here at Valve, we just decided to make money by doing nothing. It’s easy. Why can’t most people do that? Consuming the latest in cutting edge products is all that matters, after all.

Counterpoint: That business strategy died off for a good reason because it was often prohibitively expensive and the PC market’s boom in the last decade is because companies started trying to allow more than rich enthusiasts to play their games.

What do you mean most people don’t have 500-1000 dollars to throw around on a single peripheral for a handful of neat looking games?

You know my PC is good enough to handle the game but I’m not really in a position where I can spend 500-1000 bucks on a VR headset. I’d reckon most people aren’t either. Plus the economy isn’t exactly on the upswing right now. So despite really wanting to play Half-Life Alyx I’m gonna have to pass simply because it’s

Since WB is currently making a new Batman movie they really ought to take this design for the new Batmobile. Just sayin’.

So he rounded up, point stands. It’s been a very long time since that major cliffhanger. Fans have been left hanging for that long. After all this time vavle finally decided to make a new Half Life game and it’s some VR spinoff nobody asked for. Meanwhile the thing everybody asked for is still just in limbo or non

Basically you have a digital license to play it but if steam ever shuts down continued ownership isn’t a certainty. Plus you can’t play them without the client itself.

Yeah, I’m in a rural area so internet for me isn’t great. The idea of Google stadia has absolutely no appeal for me and that’s before all the lack of ownership and Google having a long and storied history of shutting down services. Owning digital games via Steam isn’t great but at least I have the files locally and
