So this is only slightly related but I keep forgetting that Gears of War 4 happened. I’ve beaten it and everything but I swear it keeps evaporating from my mind. 

Firstly, never pre-order games, secondly, you can just cancel the pre-order and get it on the epic store if you gotta play the game that soon. It's really not that big of a deal.

Yeah, I’ve been a fan of Resident evil most of my life and I didn’t even know about this backstory. It honestly doesn’t bug me that they made some adjustments to it to try and fit their more grounded tone for the remake.

It’s hard to imagine that this story was written by the same creative team as the nihilistic Grand Theft Auto V.

As nice of a change of pace as this seems I’m still pretty bitter about how insulting the ending of Farcry 5 was. Can’t say I’m interested in playing another entry that looks like it’s going to have a stance and say something and then chickens out and somehow manages to blame me for all the bad stuff that happens.
