Um, no? My point was that it shouldn’t be that way? That games should be complete and DLC should come after the game is done? I’m sorry I guess I just don’t understand the point you’re trying to make here.

Not that I could blame them, but generally people agree that if Titanfall 2 were in a better release window it would have done better. Plus, it really deserved to be a success. Respawn actually listened to criticism from the first game and made one hell of a campaign to boot. That said, your point stands. If they’d…
I don’t think they shouldn’t have some sort of post game support, but the season pass model is a bad one. Map packs can potentially split the player base too. Honestly there are ways to make it work. Overwatch is a good example. The cosmetic stuff isn’t my cup of tea but at least it won’t give players an advantage for…
I said that applying a free to play model to a full priced game is outrageous. As in I already have to pay at least 60 bucks for it on top of the free to play micro-transaction crap. That’s the point I was making.
Well, I can’t speak for anybody but myself but I can guarantee you I won’t be buying Battlefront II like I didn’t buy the first game. I have limited free time and no patience for this kind of crap. I just wish most gamers had that kind of attitude. Hey, maybe this will shake people out of apathy. Probably not, though.
I remember. I remember Titanfall 2 quite well. Because I love that game. I don’t even like most competitive shooters like that but Titanfall 2 is fun as hell. And EA killed it by releasing it in between Battlefield 1 and Skyrim Remastered.
Wow, dude. I make one assumption about EA that was incorrect and suddenly I’m an idiot who doesn’t like to read? That’s quite the leap. Fuck you, dude. What’s your goddamn problem?
It worked for Overwatch. I see no reason why they couldn’t try it for Battlefront.
Okay, so, let me get this straight. I shouldn’t criticize EA for being a really shitty company because other companies are worse? Fuck off, dude.
My mistake, these days I pretty much just call the micro transactions in AAA games loot boxes because most of the time that’s what they’re sold as. My point still stands, however. I just didn’t quite use the right word.
Ideally, we should just not have to deal with either. Like, I don’t mind multiplayer expansions and DLC if it doesn’t split the player base and the game is complete without it, but this is EA we’re talking about. Nothing they release is complete upon release. I guess I missed the lack of a season pass. I honestly…
If 2017 has taught me anything it’s that the future is stupid and nothing makes sense anymore.
Huh, I guess I just assumed it did because, you know, EA. My bad.
Yeah right, this is EA we’re talking about. First chance they get those loot boxes will be back. They just gotta let the heat die down a little.
This is a good move but it really should be a permanent one. This is a full priced game with a season pass. Applying a free to play model to the game is outrageous. I hope, however, that this sends a message that his loot box crap won’t fly. I doubt it, though. EA will just reinstate it and publishers will keep trying…
Sounds like they could build an entire game around this. I especially like the part where you actually have to remember details from your identification papers. If they did this but made you change covers every few levels this could be a really interesting spy game. So of course I assume this is the last we’ll see of…
It’s a fucking video game for crying out loud! Like, I get that battlefront loot box crap is awful and makes people angry but his helps no one. It’s just pathetic. Nobody should ever, EVER threaten somebody like this, especially over a God damn video game. Jesus christ, man.
My mistake, I’m dyslexic so I often misread things like that. Regardless, I don’t think telling people to buy fewer games with less time investment is particularly wise. Here is thing thing, dude, games weren’t always this grindy. I know you like grinding because apparently the 12 hour days aren’t enough work for you.…
5 1/2 hour days? Wow, that must be nice, dude. I do 8 to 10 hour days 5 days a week. No wonder you have no perspective on this matter. You have a lot more free time than most adults. Are you a teenager or something? Also other options? You mean to tell me you were okay with this pay to win shit because people should…
You have a very cynical and misguided view of games and the people who play them, dude. Let me explain something to you. Some people have full time jobs, kids, family obligations or other hobbies and don’t have the time to grind away for 40 hours just to unlock a thing they want in a game that is hidden behind a pay…
