I really don’t get the hate boner certain parts of the internet seems to have towards Bioware? It’s just mind boggling that people can hate a game developer that much. A developer that isn’t even bad. They make good games, sometimes great games. They never did anything to deserve the kind of ire they seem to attract.

We are just awful.

This is just fucking disgusting. Do these people have nothing better in their lives than to attack somebody for bad animation in a fucking video game?! Animations that AREN’T THAT FUCKING BAD! They’re awkward and sometimes bad but it’s not the worst I’ve ever seen. Even if it were this is just..UGH! I cannot stand how

Well ME1 had the best complete story of the trilogy, so it’s a pretty high bar. So far it just feels like a solid space opera with good characters. That is all Mass Effect has to be as far as I’m concerned. I am fairly certain most of the people trashing the game either don’t blame Mass Effect, haven’t played it, or

The Mass Effect series has never been perfect, but it’s always been easy to love for me. This game is no different so far.

Well, 10 hours in and I’d say it does. It REALLY feels like the first game, except they’ve learned from the previous trilogy and made it more fun to play and easier to explore. Plus the characters I’ve met so far are really cool. I liked them all instantly. Even the human characters that are usually boring.

So far I think the writing is as solid as ever for the series. Too early to tell for sure but so far I dig the new cast. The setup is cool and the new bad guy seems interesting. It’s classic mass effect and if you’re a fan like me I’m sure you’ll love it.

That spinning head thing was kinda common in the early days of ME3. It was patched out but pretty amusing for the first couple of weeks.

Right? Such an awesome little detail that connects the two.

None whatsoever

Glad to hear it, trust me the story is classic Mass Effect so far. It’s a lot like the first game, but that was always pretty obvious. I think if you liked the original trilogy you’ll have a blast. Also I had a lovely conversation with a female krogan who’s face I could see. That alone sold me.

Totally agree. I ended up awkwardly saying “See you later I guess” at the lake because I didn’t want to sleep with her and cheat on Yen. Bad enough a ghost made me kiss her against my will. Though I still love that quest. You are right, however, it does kinda push her on you a bit too hard.

It is. I am playing the 10 hour trial through EA access.

Right? I guess I’m just used to this sort of thing with Bioware. It has never bothered me because their writing and characters are so great. So far Andromeda is no exception. Some silly animations won’t ruin that for me. Just wish people would ease off of them. There are far more valid targets of one’s ire.

My favorite quest in Blood and Wine is the one with the spotted wight. The spoons all over the place and how you resolve it in a happy way is really satisfying. That is my favorite kind of Witcher quest.

No, I agree. I think a lot of people do. That isn’t anything against blood and wine, it’s just that hearts of stone is really superb in a way few games, let alone expansions, ever are.

The animations aren’t that bad. I feel the need to open with that since it is all anybody is talking about in relation to the game. I’m about 5 hours into the trial and loving it so far. I really wish Bioware games didn’t have so much negativity around them every time they release something. Seems like people on the

I have actually played it for 5 hours and those issues are not the norm. Maybe calm down and stop looking at isolated incidents that aren’t reflective of the entire experience.

I’m about 5 hours in and I really like it. The issues aren’t that noticeable for me (playing on pc). I say chill out and if you can try the 10 hour trial EA is offering either their 5 dollar subscription. Personally the animations are a little weird but don’t distract front the experience much. Keep and open mind and

Well, naughty dog is kind of the best in the bussiness when it comes to realistic animation. Its kind of their thing. Even then I still find some awkward and silly animations in their games here and there.
