Agreed, but it gonna take a lot of time and money to do and you can see how a major corporation might not want to do that immediately. Hell, they probably are working on it right now. It just made sense to use the tech they had to release Fallout 4 in a somewhat timely manner.

While I agree 100% that a new engine is needed, the trouble is they need an engine that is as modular and interactive as the one they have. Most engines don’t let you pick up almost everything in your environment. I’m sure Bethesda can afford it, but I get why they might have put off doing it for as long as they have.

Hopefully id and Bethesda will put a better cover on the other side of the sleeve here. Seriously, a Doom game without any demons on it is a travesty. The cover as it stands just looks like every other generic space marine shooter game.
