Having flashbacks to when people used to freak out about Kirk Hamilton “telling” them they shouldn’t use minimaps. Different times, same exact comment. The cycle of humanity is THRILLING.

It’s still a shitty premise that alienates a huge swath of gamers.
Oh no!!! Not the casuals!!!!!
counter point, as a parent it is likely that other than rare occassions that tiny screen is the only way I get to play single player games...and I’ve always wanted to play this game...sooooo
As a long time Star Wars fan who grew up with the original trilogy, I had no problem with the movie until the last 10 min. I just thought (spoilers below)...
i enjoy the movie to a point, but it’s too bad that the heavy reshoots make some of those scenes look cheap because they were likely hastily rebuilding sets to make the May 2018 release date.
Definitely. Throw in some huge cars, chases, and have an homage to the blackout of 1977 and you’ll have one hell of a game!
Me not buy that at all. Characters on Disco all learning and improving, but at realistic pace. This not sitcom where everything wrapped up in neat button at end of episode so we can start over next week. Characters developing over course of series, as Burnham tries to forgive self for turning on Georgiou; Saru learns…
To be honest though, I kind of liked it? In the age of streaming TV, I’ve kind of grown used to shows with bloated episode (and, often, season) lengths. Kind of refreshing for the show to come in, say what it had to say, and cut to black. No filler.
TOS and TNG both went to the deconstruction well ridiculously early and often. “The Enemy Within,” “The Naked Time,” “The Naked Now,” “Where No One Has Gone Before,” “Hide and Q...”
What “SJW crap” are you talking about?
You gotta fix the inaccuracies of Force Unleashed 2 and The Old Republic, there is no iOS and no Mac support.
Star Wars: X-Wing
Due to a few reasons (mostly that the Wii U, the only “current gen” console I had for some time before getting a PS4 and Switch this year), I haven’t really been as inundated with the glut of open world games, but many of the ones I’ve played in the Seventh generation had this problem. I used to love the freedom Just…
“I would gather endlessly generating materials that would let me craft bags that would let me hold larger quantities of those materials. There would be a detailed screen, somewhere in the byzantine menu, that listed exactly how few of these many activities I had accomplished, designed to make me flush with…
I hope these games point the way forward to others looking to make large-scale open-world games. I’ve loved Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild so much (BotW easily ascended the ranks to become the most genuinely enjoyable game I’ve ever played, narrowly edging the previous champion - Super Mario World)! I had…
But i find that many people feel (also true in real life) that free will is a burden they want to ‘’escape’’. They want guidance and let other people tell them what to do. For them “linear” games are ideal .
This was clever, romantic, and fun. Very good pacing.
What the hell is that? An asspunch? Ha ha ha ha ha.
Yeah, I’m increasingly fine with this “not being Trek”. One thing I’ve noted and loved about the last three episodes is how little time we spend on the bridge of the Discovery. This is not a Trek show about the bridge officers, for the first time in 50 years. That alone feels more brave than any amount of ideas about…
