I can't be the only one who hears "Diplo" and thinks of the toddler version of Lego. (And yes, I know that's actually "Duplo.")
Ah, yeah, that was a good one. My only regret is not getting to see it in 70mm (or IMAX).
Not much (in certain storylines more than others), and arguably it has only one really good, semi-quotable line of dialogue.
There's a single-screen theater in my area. (It's apparently been around so long that, in what I'd argue is a TMI story, the owner of the local theater chain it's part of was supposedly conceived there.) It's not that huge, but it's in a college town, so space is kind of limited.
That was literally the last movie I saw projected on film until "Dunkirk" in 70mm this year.
I listened to Saturday's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me," and it ended with a series of jokes about what would lead to the Mooch's ouster. (I only recall two of the three: "Nothing, he'll become Attorney General" and "Trump will catch him in the Oval Office trying on his suits, and his hair.") I don't think any of them…
I saw it twice, once in its initial release and once in the "Black & Chrome" edition. (I liked the color version more, oddly enough.)
"Cloud Atlas" would probably be my choice, too.
I'm no fan of Flake, but I will admit to being kind of amused when he appeared on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" and admitted that his favorite band was Earth Wind and Fire. Not really relevant, just thought it was interesting.
I personally hate the "Pat" ads for Toyota. One that particularly irks me is one where he's an intern for a Toyota dealership, and makes individual trips to a coffee shop for everybody who works there. I keep thinking the tagline should be, "Toyota. Waste gas like an asshole."
Unfortunately, there's no word yet as to what his punishment will be. He could get six months' jail, he could get probation. So he's not under arrest… yet.
Joe Arpaio is found guilty of criminal contempt.
Last Week Tonight - July 30, 2017
The main thing I recall about "Hobo With a Shotgun" is the school bus inferno massacre, which struck me as perhaps a touch too far, even for a nasty movie like that.
Upon hearing the "runner's high" clue, I immediately said to my sister, "Endorphins make you happy!" Upon which she completed the quote, "Happy people don't kill their husbands. They just don't."
Congratulations!

This last week in Sillstaw’s entertainment:
I was thinking of seeing "Atomic Blonde" this weekend, but "Landline" is playing at the expensive art house theater I go to, so I'll see that instead and likely catch "Blonde" this next Thursday. I'm also going to see "Dunkirk" again this Saturday morning with my mom.
