The best part of the episode for me was when Daniel, Layana, and Stanley couldn't even contain their shock that Patricia was in. I mean, they didn't even TRY to hide how surprised they were. They just half mumbled congratulations while clearly trying to figure out if they had just entered Bizarro world. And not 15

I liked the idea of Michelle's outfit more than I liked the idea of Patricia's. I also think Michelle's top was very keen, but I was not a fan of the pegged pants.

I was expecting the judges to lay into Layana, but no. They loved it.

I tend to agree with you. Stanley really was less kind than I would have liked for him to be, but I think the other extreme is to be like Patricia and practically have a nervous breakdown. So I give him a pass, particularly since he seemed to have moments of self-realization along the way (ala "I usually say 'Please'

Something something amulet, something something Teen Witch?

Catfished!

"Either way, I really Britta'd that one."

I thought it was because she and Brian had come close to sleeping together and she freaked out that Jim might have found out. Of course, it was just her unquestionable love for Jim shining through once again.

I always felt like Jane Child was the Aimee Mann of the 90's, if you didn't count Aimee Mann.

The lyrics to this song are like a Rorschach test. The Community wiki says it's "Give me some more time in a dream".

Preach!

Today I learned that Skeeter and Cousin Skeeter are two completely different and unrelated puppets.

Two things:

I hope you're right. I really do. That would be the lesser of the two evils.

You ain't never lied.

Forever after known as Michael Bluth's real life sister.

That game show part was like a Jaywalking sketch. I couldn't believe some of the things those kids didn't know. And I'm only about 10 years older than most of them, so I really hated them blaming their schools for their lack of knowledge.

Maybe I'm just dim or maybe I just didn't get it. Or both.

And more minorities in one scene of this show than I can ever remember seeing before. Except for maybe when Gloria went with Mitch and Cam to translate at the hospital before she found out she was pregnant. It was a good scene.

Not enough payoff with the older "Dunphy kids". Although casting Justine Bateman as the older equivalent of Haley was a little bit of inspiration. Can't believe I never thought about Haley being a modern Mallory Keaton before.
