As long as Matt Ryan plays Constantine, this guys can do whatever he wants with this movie.
Totally freaking out. Fuller is pretty much the only reason I was excited.
I understand very much that people want to see themselves represented in the media they consume, but I can’t really get behind fans dictating to creators how to shape their output.
They sell much nicer (IMHO) versions of this already at Walmart and Target and whatnot that I have in a few styles/heroes... It’s not nearly as loud, doesn’t have all that junk running down the sleeves, and is half the price.

It had fantastic writing that appealed to both kids and adults with some mature themes and some complex story structures and framing devices, while also being super faithful to the comics, balancing Peter’s superheroics and teenage angst (without getting too melodramatic about it like the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. …
Look, even the Infinity Gauntlet has its limits, so let’s not go crazy with asking for things like better writing on Doctor Who (a show that I love dearly, but which also singlehandedly disproves the whole “shorter seasons = higher average quality of episodes” equation that critics have become enamored of).

So you’re cool with the absence of Asian guys? Well that’s not completely true. People kvetching about Swinton as an old Tibetan guy forced them to add in Wong, who was not in the original draft. So Asian people make a big fuss? Feige puts in an Asian guy to shine Dr.Strange’s slippers.
