I'd be curious to know more about the production team and their facilities. When the Canaries and Speedy were fighting at the end, the stairs behind them looked like part of the Verdant set. They've been showing more scenes (in both shows) of characters in a generic warehouse (Oliver vs Barry in the Rocky II moment,

T-Bag even popped in to promote his own series, Arrow Needs a Good Clock King.

Yeah a lot of his recent work is really elaborate, with internal rhyme schemes, etc.
And in other bad lyrics I always laugh at Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight".
"I've got a hunger….
…ITS A HUNGERRRRRRRR!!!"
Yeah. Thanks for that clarification.

This makes Eminem look downright erudite.

If that's the case, why isn't this show better? This isn't a simple matter of opinion, the show is widely regarded as mediocre. Do their talents in episode writing not translate to long term storytelling? Or is there some mitigating factor that is stifling their creativity?
I might even be convinced to settle on the

And you know, I'm sure a large part of the show's level of quality is dependent on how much corporate interference and other stifling factors there are. We've seen and heard some rumors on infighting and restructuring in Marvel. There's a remote possibility Jed's brilliant under better circumstances.

Joss was still running Dollhouse during season two, so that fits the narrative, as you put it.
Spartacus, despite being a cool show, sports about 20 producers; Jed handled quite a few, Melissa only a handful.
Now, clearly you have an attachment, and I have an aversion, my personal opinion being that their work is

I don't know. Didn't Eminem used to throw in a "yo!" At the end of a line to get it to rhyme? Maybe it's less lazy, but definitely a song writing sin of some kind.

Technically it was Joss that was the good television writer. He's involved in this in name only. Jed (and Maurissa Tancharoen) are running this, and They are content to copy Jed's older brother's shows but without understanding what made them fascinating. I mentioned in a previous week how "high school drama club"

No, Earth 2 is where Moira DIDN'T bang Slade Wilson…

I saw him too. Amazing. He saved American Girl for last of course, but he didn't have to place it anywhere special, the entire set list was incredible and everyone was into the whole thing. I re added him to my playlists for a solid two years after that.

The Justice League cartoon had a Bat-embargo, except for the Man himself; The Arrowverse seems to have more like a Big Screen Embargo, forbidden to develop concepts likely to compete with potential ticket sales. I think it would be unlikely to get Barbara (awesome as that would be), more likely they'd slot Felicity

"It's a bit flamboyant…but I like it."

Plus if you assume the writers are achieving what they are attempting, then it means Laurel is a character whose decision-making is questionable and she's out of her depth. I actually like trainwreck Laurel, it makes her feel more like a real person, and is consistent with her characterization since Tommy's death.

And then Tim Hunter and Harry Potter can battle it out for the gold medal in bespectacled teenage boy wizarding with an owl for a pet.

Well, by "they" I mean the production team headed by Greg Berlanti, as opposed to the network. But yeah, they share neighboring facilities with whoever is the exec producer of Supernatural, so honestly they probably should have consulted the experts.

They've said they want all three shows to be like one big show, and I think they've been very good at that balancing act so far. When they focus on great characters and ideas, it really makes you want to see another show added on. Some of the efforts to set up Legends have been at the expense of the show they appear
