I can see where that would be useful, it's just weird because it looks like she doesn't know what she's doing, like a community theater performer accidentally wandering onstage in a broadway show…

I saw the Problem music video once, she's so self conscious it's like she wants to melt into the background. Someone thought it was a good idea to put this girl in front of the camera?

Yeah I was sorely disappointed with the Lost finale, it tainted almost every episode that came before it. However, it was a masterful execution of plot, and knew to throw in an out of left field mega happy ending for the fans. Compared to these shows, I can really appreciate the talent and care of Team Darlton.

I read this in Connery's voice.

Ironically Gail Simone used this storytelling device (gender-reversed) in the new 52 Batgirl. Guess it's only bad if the victim has a vagina.

Zack (et al.) you should read Green Lantern: Mosaic published in the mid 90's. Much has been made of the DS9/B5 overlap, but I really think DS9 was inspired by this short-lived series. John Stewart really is a precursor to Sisko, and the DS9 jumpsuits are pretty much John's GL uniform, but with red/yellow/blue

Congratulations. Firstly, you may not care that I don't care about the Super Bowl, but I wasn't the one that had to write an article to defend it. Secondly, the Super Bowl does not need your help. It's doing fine without you. It's not a drunken sorority girl trying to walk home you gallantly offer a lift to.

My favorite episode is the one where we meet Bill's family in Louisiana. The whole thing is so weird it's comedy gold.

Actually with that Jack the Giant Killer movie that just came out, it reminded me of when Jack went to Hollywood to pitch his story as an epic trilogy. I figure it just took him a few extra years to do it, also giving the Beast time to grow that goatee.

No mention of the bed squeaking scene? Other viewers probably glommed onto it earlier, but it was the first time I realized Dini & Co. were pervs.

Is this comment serious or in jest? When Babydoll apparently gets a lobotomy in the beginning of the movie, then it launches into a series of fantastical sub-stories, I turned to the wife and said, "If this movie is just two hours of what goes on inside her head, and she really did get lobotomized, then we wasted two

Havent read the book, which I imagine is the reason most commenters below dislike Howl's, but it's my favorite Miyazaki movie. Possibly my favorite animated film ever.

I enjoyed him in it too. I was so engrossed in the movie I didn't recognize his voice at first. Others may be annoyed by him, but I also loved him as Miracle Max. I've probably quoted him in that role more in my lifetime than anything else.

Smith's Doctor, Brian, Strax, Jack and Craig in an episode ripping off The Hangover.

yeah I read the blurb on the book and thought it was a cool idea, the whole secret history but set in our present kind of thing.

I like the first of these two eps better in retrospect, Tribble-ations, of course, has always been brilliant. But for the love of god, Zack, do yourself a favor and skip Let He Who is Without Sin. It's a crime that Trek can follow an amazing outing like Tribble-ations with a dour clunker like that one.

I have a whole theory on Doctor Who quality based on Matt Smith's haircut. I loved his earliest episodes when his hair was crazy and unkempt just as he was a crazy unkempt Time Lord right after regeneration. but the longer he has been running around his hair became slick the same way that all the stories became too

Ok I haven't seen the ep yet, but I'm liking the smiley face=deity communique and the infinite probabilities adding up to this moment, as they both likely stem from Watchmen.

yeah I liked it. I felt like I was reading Doc Jensen's column on Lost again.

He did respond to House in "The Doctor's Wife" that he had killed all the other Time Lords. It wasn't a Time War reference per se as it was more re: the Ten finale, but I think that might be the only other time.
