Don’t mind the others... but the Cube, I Loathe ENTIRELY.

“the money spent developing a whole new series could have been better used to sponsor women in all areas of motorsport, helping them succeed in their individual series.”

Normally you would be correct, but Jalopnik covered this series a number of times prior to it’s inception and one would have assumed they would cover the actual races as well.

Not only that, but a lot of fast food places don’t have nearly enough parking for everyone to walk inside.

Yes, we should definitely consider people without kids as our target audience.  I can’t wait for the human race to die out.

Ok? You seem angry.

And most new cars are sold with stop/start now, so idling won’t really be a thing soon.

Dude, this is actually a pretty good comment. +1

We don’t. Although someone will figure out exactly how much electricity you’re wasting by letting the car sit for 3 minutes and calculate that back into emissions to create that energy. IT NEVER ENDS.

“It is for these reasons I humbly suggest that the overall fix here—parking one’s car and walking into the business one is patronizing—should rank very, very low on the list of inconveniences one is willing to fight over”

If everyone will drive electric cars in the future, why do we have to worry about this?

Fuck Ron for hoarding and destroying all those cars. He’s no hero - he’s an asshole for buying all those things and leaving them outside in the weeds. He is not to be felt sorry for and certainly doesn’t deserve articles of affection and sorrow.

The county gave him way more time than I would have. The only thing lacking was Dauzet’s grasp of reality when it came to the value of a vehicles after it sits in the bushes for a decade or two. If he had put reasonable prices on these and posted them online, he’d would have had most of them gone inside of a month,

no, fuck him, he deserves his fate. when my comment posts with my story you can read the whole account, but hes basically a fucking hoarder with a dog in the manger mentality and no respect for anyone. he hoarded the cars with no real intention of doing anything other than just having all the pieces. he would rather

It will never take you further than you can walk back.

I have long dealt with having to limit the size of my collections of various objects, so Ron’s story hits home with me. In so many ways I feel bad for him. It has to hurt to see these vehicles go away..

I mean, the camera 20 feet away heard him say “It won’t shut off.” I can’t imagine someone even closer couldn’t hear it. Engine noise doesn’t operate any differently than other types of sound. If the driver’s voice is audible over the engine at 20 feet, it is audible over the engine at 5 feet

Except he didn’t at all. He tried to sell things at unrealistic prices, and then decided he could ignore the order. He’s already failed to do what he promised once, why give him another chance?

Right. I’m going to give the guy in the car that started on fire a little leeway here on account of the fact that he was in the car that started on fire. I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be my best moment, either.

Seems like everyone involved was grossly unprepared and untrained for a completely forseeable problem. On both sides. But I would have to fault the track workers moreso. You've got to maintain professionalism in the face of a bit of bad attitude.
