I believe the stringed instrument leading the solo after the intro at 0:13 is actually an erhu? It shows up (for reference) in places like the Legend of Korra’s soundtrack.

The thing is, Nintendo has been letting unlicensed tournaments run for 20+ years. Yes, everybody in the Melee community knows that they shouldn’t be running unlicensed tourneys. But the status quo for 2 decades is that Nintendo stays in its lane, and the Melee community stays in theirs—there’s a very uneasy upspoken

Some of the context might be lost for people who aren’t particularly plugged into the Melee community.

It’s not really an issue of needing “permission”—Melee tournaments have been running for 20+ years without the explicit need for Nintendo licensing.

That’s not quite the correct take here—there’s more nuance than that.

Look: I like and respect AOC, and her largely successful push to hold the Democratic party accountable and push them towards more left-leaning policies. This is exactly what I want.

I started playing since Day 1—and yeah, it was buggy on my PC rig, but it was tolerable.
