I don’t like it because it can influence the way I play the game. If I know I’m going to be able to get a certain weapon and it’s hidden somewhere I’m going to start specifically seeking it out or altering my playstyle to get it or in anticipation of it.

Whereas if I stumble upon it by chance or following breadcrumbs…
