The tick rate for Destiny 1 is only 10 hz for incidental things like kill feed and ammo crates. Everything else is at 30 hz. This is a misconception that was debunked a long time ago but I still see all the time.

Destiny 1 has 3 v 3 game modes that are fun, so I dunno why 4 v 4 would be too small.
