The phenomenon you speak of has always been in play. As one ethnic group becomes economically successful, they move out and the next ethnic group moves in. Many forget that those Germans, Irish, Polish, and Italians were the scum and those neighborhoods were less than desirable.

There is a delineation that folks must make between graduate and undergraduate chapters of Fraternities. You had men old enough to be your dad looking to rent out the establishment for a function whose proceeds fund scholarships for high school students.

The shooting was at a gas station, not at the venue.  I don’t see bars closing after folks begin fighting in the street or in close proximity to the bar.  It was a low brow move; especially after taking a deposit months in advance.  They must of thought the function was being hosted by TKE or Kappa Sig

That’s some B.S. If venues let bad experiences keep them from booking events, they would never have events. When Kenny Chesney comes to my city, folks trash the venue but it hasn’t stopped the venue from booking other country and western acts.
