What you described is balance and we all strive to have that in our relationships.

“Seems to me like you should either choose between the “big expensive thing” and the nice wedding ring or be prepared for people to think you’re not ready for adult life where making tradeoffs between various material wants is how 99% of people live.”

In my opinion, it’s about setting a market value. The real question is who got their offer first....MoNique or Wanda? I could see Netflix reaching out to Wanda first and offering $250K to which Wanda refused and then reaching out to MoNique and offering $500K.

Soo I’ve been looking in the mail and I have not seen my Free Black Radical T Shirt yet.

“Amy Schumer got that 13M because white people like her”

Remember when Chris Rock said if he were David Spade funny he’d be broke???

I’m trying to understand your logic since both Marlon Wayans and Deon Cole both have done deals with Netflix while doing local comedy clubs.

Eastern. She’s the voice of a character on a children’s tv show my daughter watches

I’ve got a date tonight with Wanda at 7:30

I heard the same thing. The question I would have for those folks is would they watch a show given they are not subjected to her stating late or ending early?

But do we know her momentum? I mean she could be popping up in cities unbeknownst to you working on new material. I mean Chris Rock showed up in my city under the radar and put on a hell of a show.

The messenger is the issue. I would even suggest there’s a bit of sexism here. I wonder if the general response would be similar if Katt Williams, Andrew Dice Clay, or any other male comic considered to be an asshole made the same claim.

MoNique still has a following and the ability do draw despite her gruff exterior. I bet she’d sell out your local comedy spot doing multiple days.

And what’s the rationale for offering Wanda half of what they proposed to give Monique??

Wanda’s been diversifying her coins. She’s been doing a lot of voice acting in addition to her role on Blackish.

“Them Lil bitches weren’t in the studio laying tracks. Laying pipe don’t count. Any ole person can lay some pipe. The question is can you do that and get your own bread?”

Although the word on the street is that Jill is tough on a dude, the fact you chose not to have a lawyer review a legal document before you signed it is on you playa.

Of course, maybe it’s a part of her negotiation strategy. I know MoNique has put herself in a corner but I also wonder if our opinions would be different if it were a gruff man acting in this manner. We know that gruff women get treated differently than men.

It’s a risky move but I don’t think she should be vilified. Lev Bell is doing the same thing here. He told the Steelers their offer last year was not acceptable and he’s willing to retire if he’s not paid what he’s worth. Dallas and Los Angeles are paying attention because they know that Elliott and Melvin Gordon are

King Johnson....the Real MVP!
