“To-go” is sort of an adjective, whereas “takeout” is a noun, right? Personally, I might say to my husband “let’s just go get some takeout”, but when I get there, I would say “I’ll take the food to-go”.

Exactly. In fact, they could probably raise menu prices much more than 3% (assuming that’s their actual labor cost increase) and make even more profit, assuming that the demand for high-end dining in DC is pretty inelastic (which I’m absolutely sure it is).

There’s a big difference between polyamory and non-monogamy. The former is a form of the latter, but not the other way around. You’re assuming that the only way to be “non-monogamous” is to have a “squad” of love relationships, and that’s not at all true.

It is. Herpes is incredibly common (1/6 of the population has HSV-2, the kind most people think of, and a vast majority of people, including children, carry other HSV viruses). It is relatively minor or asymptomatic for most people, and it’s impossible to prove that any one person “gave” it to you.

Probably because sneaking a bomb on a plane “only” kills a couple hundred people, at best. There are easier ways to kill a couple hundred people that don’t require sneaking past heavy security. Whereas 911 killed thousands.
