I just couldn't get past how the movie is a thinly veiled analogy for Favreau's career as a Hollywood director. The whole 'the suits wouldn't let me cook/direct the thing I really wanted to make the way I wanted to make it' thing was so on the nose. That and the excessive ball sweat scene.
