I think Ari’s criticism of the worldbuilding may be vague because it’s premised on execution in an embargoed part of the game. I *suspect* the issue is that late in the game, characters just start infodumping huge amounts of worldbuilding on Aloy in an unentertaining way, as opposed the the masterful balance struck in

I feel like the phenomenon described in the review is a very valid point and putting it into the review of this game is pertinent.

Still not having completed it after 80 hours (and that’s mostly just from doing the actual gigs and not simply “assaults in progress” chaff) I do enjoy the game, definitely a 7-8, with some points it excels at. The way in which all playstyles are catered for, both the melee and firearms feeling powerful and effective
