Syracuse had an RPI of 45 compared to 70 for Notre Dame. Syracuse’s non-conference strength of schedule was rated 14^th in the country. Notre Dame’s was 178^th. And while Syracuse had four Quadrant 1 wins, Notre Dame only had two.
