I’ve been thinking about what a Trump/Clinton debate will look like. How should she respond to the inevitable crass, personal attacks Trump will fling at her about her looks, her husband’s cheating, etc.

Well yeah, according to Trumpism. Trump would make a better president than Hillary because it was her fault she got cheated on by her one husband, while he cheated on all of his wives, save Melania (as far as we know). The natural extrapolation of that philosophy is what you said.

I don't see how some of this is any different than neighbors gossiping about my horribly dysfunctional childhood. Knowing they could put it on the Internet so random strangers could read it would just have further traumatized me. Tell some of the stuff - gossip about grown-ups is fine. But gossip about kids, or adults…

Here's the thing though, if Himmmm really wants to shine a bright light on child predators in the entertainment business he needs to take a stand by coming forward publicly (reputation & career be damned) and demanding an investigation.
