I could get behind this argument if the difference was 7 min vs. 7 min 40 seconds... but since it’s more like 1.5 seconds vs. 42 seconds, that’s a very noticeable difference! Why wait if you don’t have to, right? (assuming the programs both get you the same results)
Neat idea, but consider this: you can’t spill everything out of an iPad and make a huge mess/lose pieces/find pieces later by stepping on them :)
I tried Soylent 2.0 for a few months (just replacing my breakfast, not all my meals) and I had 0 problems with it — even started mixing it with my coffee prior to Coffiest coming out. The powder was gross imo, and I’m glad I took a pass on the bars, but haven’t run into any of the weird side effects other people have…
I really like her too! Imo she could be much heavier on the spiritualism so I’m fine with where she’s at; plus, her whole “find what feels good” thing is a nice change from strictness about pose shape + makes up for anything else :)
Am I supposed to eat the apple on my nightstand first or go for the pre-breakfast brisk walk?? (semi-serious question, since eating asap after waking up and exercising before breakfast both seem to be good things, but you can’t really do both...)
Serious answer: Excel spreadsheets where you only need to see 5 or 6 columns (+ all the rows you can fit). That’s what I’m using it for most at work. Also good for holding half-sized windows of programs/sites that I don’t need to see all of but would like to have visible (ex: outlook, Spotify, onenote). Plus as others…
This is so real. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been walking fast (not because I need to get somewhere on time, but because that’s just the speed I walk), say hi to someone in the hallway on my way — and then a minute later realize “oh crap, I think they were slowing down to chat with me”... Really bad at…
I think you’re right to correct them. 95% chance your students are referring to her as “he” because they assume person=male unless otherwise indicated, not because they’re post-gender :)
My mom works for the DOE — I remember watching her tapes of nuclear waste casks getting stress-tested when I was a kid (crashing trucks + trains carrying them, running them into walls, etc). 1. the testing was very cool, 2. those casks are SUPER shielded :0
Agree. Centered text >>> slightly off-center to the right; plus the large-scale pictures really added to this piece
Pikachu WITH A HAT!!!
After a lot of thought: crunchy-but-thin cookies like pizzelle; dry, crumbly cookies that will crumble apart (although no one should be eating those!); those cookies with hershey’s kisses on top, bc they will probably fall off in transit...
I have some opinions on sparkling water too!
From an Amazon comment: “BEDDI doesn’t come with a backup battery. But if your power comes back during the night, then BEDDI will sync the time back to your phone, and your alarm will still go off.”
Too bad that it doesn’t have one, although it’s not a dealbreaker for me (I just set a second alarm on my phone for a few…
