I still don’t get Teslas. Are they wonderful or terrible? There’s not another car that generates so much media devoted to both those opinions.
Im sure most people are like you. The problem is the loudest voices are from the people who have issues. The ones happy with the car aren't going to say much.
This article is way, way off base. The vast majority of Fisker owners on Reddit & the various FB communities have had basically no issues beyond the one constant which is the key fob sucks. A handful of the first vehicles had faulty seat sensors and some of the earliest deliveries had an issue where their 12v…
With all the issues other people are having, I think you can count yourself lucky. That being said, if you’re looking to get out of your ride I will submit a formal offer of $350 to buy your car.
I got my Ocean One in October, and have been lucky to have had no significant issues. Yes, the key fob is a bit flakey, but mechanically the car has been great. I've gotten four over-the-air updates so far, so the infotainment system has improved a bit. My only issue is that a giant rock gave me a rock chip on the…
I’m starting to wonder if they were actually produced on the same line as the Hornet. Magna-Steyr generally makes really solid cars...
I wonder how much finger pointing is going to happen between Fisker and their manufacturing partner Magna Steyr. Could be some fun Lordstown/Foxconn drama unfolding here.
The Ford that we all know was actually Henry’s third company that he tried to name after himself.
This could have been a lot more interesting.
But there is rollover crash protection. Much more than any Miata or S2000. The only thing that comes off are those two tiny bin covers and the whole top actually stays in place. There’s more structural strength left in there than a regular car with an open sunroof.
Damn, I was so excited until this line, “But Pagani’s latest track-only special...” I was looking for a new daily, but I guess the hunt continues.
With the top removed the front top of the car including the central pillar in the center looks very beefy. I imagine most tracks will let an owner drive it like that provided they were properly strapped in like they would be in an open top single seater.
I agree with your second point about why this is impractical. If the operating costs of a superyacht are something like 10% of the value of the yacht per year - I’d imagine a sub would be far, far more. But I’m also not sure that’d be a billionaire from doing it. I suspect it’s the engineering / design required to…
Hyperbolic headlines are against the law, got it
As Reese points out, the sidewall is not the most important part of the tire
Hubcaps. They’re called hubcaps. You can buy new ones at Pep Boys. But no amount of Pep Boys swag is going to make that monstrosity look good.
That fluff piece he did on the cyberclunk was a real turning point for me on Cammisa.
Trust me, in person, you will not mistake that Fiat for a Z4. The Z4 actually has a presence on the road. Not many car’s can do that. (see LC500).
