Hmm... Does that mean they will be FWD? Hub-mounted motor? I’m thinking about how much more space you could save without driveshafts, exhausts, fuel tanks, etc etc all mounted under the truck..

Making cars is hard but Henrik Fisker is one of the few people, in modern times, to actually make a car that real people can actually drive so I won’t count him out.

I’ll never not own gas cars — two of my other cars are a built-for-offroading 4Runner and a ‘00 NSX —

Found a pic of my ‘81 when I pulled it out of storage about 5 years ago.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for the condition. I bought it from the 2nd owner that had it since ‘92 and kept it in amazing shape. I do actually have an ‘81 C10 LWB that I am restoring though.

Awesome, I definitely will! I actually live off I-30 and Cookes Lane and make the trek to Farmers Branch and back every day in this beast.

The car is in really good shape and somebody somewhere will want this car. I hope whoever does actually performs the swap and I see it cruising around Dallas so I can give them the thumbs up, as I do every 80's and older car I see still being driven.

What the hell?! I've never heard of this and I really wish I hadn't

Ugh. You’re totally going to be that guy (his name's escapes me) with all the cars that the city is making him get rid of. But, hey, you're doing what you love so....go for it and keep the updates coming

I seriously think that’s what they’re going to do, they just haven’t done it yet.

I generally agree with that assertion, however, I still see far too many RWD sedans around. I never said it should be a sports sedan.

I think they’re going to. I can’t see them developing that Explorer platform for only the Explorer and Bronco/Ranger.

Hire a new marketing department. Subaru is typically one of the highest in conquest sales and it’s a constant talking point that they have “symmetrical AWD”. Their new platforms are just rehashed versions of the existing ones - they found a good one way back in the day and stuck with it.

Something tells me they have something like this in mind.

Each market is different. Most the aged people I see driving around here are in a Merc, Bimmer, Charger/300, Cadillac, etc. All the big RWD stuff.

Neutral: Ford needs to build a RWD sedan. I don’t care if it’s a badged as a Lincoln, or whatever, but they need a versatile RWD platform that isn’t a truck/SUV/CUV or a 2-door sports car. They can electrify it, sure, but include an option for the Ecoboost(s) and the Coyote. The change to the Explorer shows they can
