There are a few things that are a little different, but for the most part, BTs ans STs just drop in. There are a couple of people who make wiring harnesses specifically for AW11 BT and ST swaps. Apart from that, it’s just move the starter to the other side of the transmission, removing the later model transmission

Blacktops and Silvertops are more of what you love about the 16V. You won’t be losing any character. They’re even rev-happier, make a better noise because of the intake, and put out more power.

I just blew my original at 230k on track. Thinking about rebuilding it as a twincharged engine if it’s salvageable.

I leave my tops off half of the time, but mine’s a completely stripped track rat with solid seats, so I’m not worried about it getting wet. I’m not a fan of sunroofs, but T or Targa tops are pretty great. This is my second car with one, and the first (Honda Del Sol) pretty much lived with the roof off too.

Dream-swap.

Even if you replace the seals and put the eccentric guides in, the T-Tops leak. Worth it.

There’s also a ton of space behind the seats for the T-tops that can be used if you leave them on, but then pretending to be Magnum PI gets hard.

I was going to call you on sexism, but I’m pretty sure that your grandmother would have beaten it out of you.

MR2 all the things!

Who are you, and what have you done with my Jalopnik?

It’s a shame that the racers are rarely the ones who get hurt or killed by this bullshit.

There was supposed to be a period between 11 and 00.

The thing about a Cavalier is the harder you want it to die, the more impossible it becomes to kill

Bro, you can’t jump it. Worst.

...so it won’t pass the Jalopnik Jump Test?

Rusting and problematic? For $9k? Yeah, no thanks.

More than a new van for a 27 year old one that wasn’t good when new? Yeah, no thanks. CP.

This is nice to see. Did Force India kick off the shennanigans, or did Bernie tell them that F1 can’t afford for the Americans to be robbed of an entertaining session for the second time in a decade.

This guy does it when they get coverage for unexpected results like Checo’s podium in Russia, too.

Nah. If I want a ridiculous car, I don’t want it to be ridiculous and trying too hard. One of the things that appeals to me about the Mirage is how honest it is. It’s not pretending to be anything it’s not. It’s not trying to look more expensive than it is like a cheap Hyundai, it’s not pretending to be sporty like a
