@JohnDeere: Yes. Hopefully there will be some added layer of security rather than a simple "are you sure you want to buy this?".

@LessthanZach: February now is it? I'll mark my calendar.

@Ignignokt: Looks like it could be one of those roving test vans we heard about. I like your theory better though.

@reddyroc: They can't call it a slide due to legal and zoning issues... race you to the bottom?

@maythetechbewithyou: Do you have a link? I'm just seeing the $200 glasses and then some monitor choices around $500...

@Sippin: 'Other side' singular? Hah!

@CrispyAardvark: That's one side of the conspiracy theory angle. The other side takes into account how badly the white iPhones have sold in the past compared to the black iPhones and implies that this manufacturing delay creates hype that may lead to better sales compared to past years when the white iPhone does come

@b33g33: Fixing what primary?

@Brian Lam: Firstly - OMG, star, thank you! Secondly, I'm not sure I follow... If you're referring to the article itself I believe the color white is mentioned 12 times. If you're saying you haven't heard that color is likely the culprit behind the delays take a look at the link.

There's a lot of talk about plastic and cracking in an article referring to a phone with no visible plastic whatsoever. I think it's been made fairly clear that the manufacturing delays are most likely caused by color issues. And maybe a little magic Apple hype for your conspiracy theorists out there.

@Zhuzhu: He's always been the type of leader he is today but his ideals have shifted over the years IMHO.

@bmj2728: There is no extra bandwidth consumption permitted under AT&T's $20 tethering option. You simply gain the ability use your 2GB cap on another device.

@Roekone: That's funny cause this article is about an iPhone app...

@jordanbrennan728: I can confirm that tethering has no noticeable effect on AT&T's network vs. normal cellular data usage. The extra work is done with the local hardware (ie piping the data from phone to computer once it has been obtained from the network).

@IceMetalPunk: What's your working definition of heuristics?

@LaziestManOnMars: I didn't find too much information but from what I can tell wireless receivers have been getting more and more power efficient. The architecture of your local wireless network certainly wouldn't affect how your phone uses battery power but usage, distance, idle time, signal strength will all effect

@LaziestManOnMars: With my fairly limited knowledge I would say the power draw might vary between b/g/a/n but not within the specs. I'll report back if my research turns anything up.

@zonk7ate9: The hardware manufacturer (Sony, MS) will never standardize this feature for the same reasons the cross platform project was scrapped. They have no interest in segregating their players by hardware and a keyboard and mouse is gonna whip a controller every time.
