Setting aside the joy of pitting a 19-and 20-year-old in mortal competition for purely narrative and/or Hawks-shaming purposes, what if they’re just both ... good?
Great piece. Breer is such a shit shoveler for the Shield.
He ran with the “Kaepernick doesn’t have a job *purely* for football reasons, I assure you” talking point endlessly, even going so far as to write a piece chronicling the death of the read-option in the NFL ... just as the league’s top offenses were becoming…
Totally get why everyone makes the (somewhat lazy and reductive IMO) comparisons but the “they think he’s Steph lol” thing is so tired at this point and it overlooks Trae Young’s best attribute, his passing.
Jackson is quick enough to beat these guys to the pylon no doubt, but I don’t think it was a sure thing he gets into the EZ even if he caught it.
Falcons fan here. We’d love to be 2-2 right now.
Imagine getting paid to write about soccer and not understanding how good Kevin De Bruyne is
Not what you want to wake up to as a Braves fan.
How many times do we have to do this?
baseball pundits, every February: “The Nats are the best team in baseball!!!”
Yes, it’s as embarrassing and pointless as it sounds.
not that I disagree, it is kind of outrageous to be splashing this much for a practice facility ... I am wondering why this piece didn’t run in 2016 when the project was announced, or six weeks ago when it opened
also curious aside from the forced incredulousness is why this piece is running today when this facility was announced in 2016 and opened in early April
this is a solid assessment. Korver had actually worked hard enough to become a net positive on the defensive end during his Atlanta stint, due to his conditioning and awareness on the court... he’s slipped a bit post two lower body surgeries (thanks, Delly!) but he’s still more than capable of holding his own.
so what would you do differently? You just listed a half dozen examples why the game is healthier than ever
“MLB certainly does not have a true crossover celebrity star on the level of Tom Brady or LeBron James.”
uh that’s not really how this works...
“actually it’s good that my pitch count was really high in the 5th” oh, Matt
it’s cute that you thought the Celtics had a chance even with Kyrie
Could not agree more. He fucking ruined that one season of “Justified” with his terrible southern accent.
I feel sorry for you.
