You must not watch a lot of auctions. It’s legitimately rare (like, it’s not unheard of, but I’d bet it’s under 1%, based on my experience) that a car goes for more than 10% above the upper estimated value.

How can they be greedy if they’re unprofitable? Just trying to make a profit, any profit at all isn’t greedy, otherwise they’re offering their services at under cost.  How does offering a product at less than cost make them greedy?
