You need specialized training to be a medical interpreter. You need to know both the slang and proper terms for medical terms, which most bilingual people simply do not know. If you want to make better money you go into legal interpreting which has its own specialized terminology.

First off, awesome screen grabs. Secondly, it was the lights. The automatically lighting would not register black people and would turn off if the only people in the room were black. The white boss lady wanted to stress that the lights DID pick up something like Mexicans and some other groups though. Great show.

The point of bail is not to penalize, it is to make sure people show up to court. For a “successful” person $500 dollars is meaningless, but $100,000 or $1,000,000 might actual make them pay attention. Meanwhile, that $500 is something a less “successful” person cannot afford to give up.
