I understand that, but DC Films seems to be listening from everything they’ve done - Whedon is out. Snyder was allowed to restore his cut including the more respectful treatment of Cyborg. An investigation was conducted. Several of the key players are out or sidelined. They’ve also made good on hiring more diverse…
He wants his concerns to be heard because the racist power structures that enabled them are still chugging along strong. You don’t get change by staying silent. His story is but one of many, it’s only by listening that anything wioll ever change.
It’s amazing. Fisher patiently explains exactly how and why there were racial issues with the handling of his character and how his concerns were dismissed and belittled by the white higher ups. What do the commenters do? The exact same thing. This is how racist power structures are able to keep rolling along.
It’s a looter shooter that had the novel idea to let players use their super powers all the time. Like, I’m playing the Trickster class and two of my three powers have cool downs of around 7-8 seconds.
Sadly, no one here at the AVC comment sections actually care about the racial issues. The same people voicing their skepticism here have blatantly name-called Fisher with classic racially coded words such as “a diva” and “difficult to work with” or “attention seeker”. And then they dare pretend to care about toxic…
Just want to get off my chest that I Think This Game Is Bad but my friends want to play it so.......I’m playing it. Animation is clunky, I have no idea if I’m doing any damage because the characters just stand there, the powers have no oomph (I’m still only level 5) or even any real indication of where they land.
A offline mode would have been such a win, people who wanted to play single player mode could (even if that character was a offline only ) it would have saved the servers being hammered so might have been a better experience for those who do multiplayer. Now i do not know if the bug to wipe gear is server related but…
Whedon got “Booyah” from the animated show Teen Titans Go
I feel like everyone is on the same page with Joss Whedon. The only part I’m still having trouble with is what Ray Fisher wants now - Whedon is out at DC. So is Berg. Johns was shuffled around. Walter Hamada was not there at the time and the studio does seem to be taking it seriously.
The Jezebel post is a bit more expansive on the problematic racial issues:
Having watched the Snyder Cut, I agree. Cyborg has a complete arc in the movie and there’s not much more story to tell.
Just curious: is there anyone out there who has seen the Snyder Cut and came away excited about a Cyborg movie? After that four-hour experience, my impression is ... meh. The character was fine. Fisher’s performance was fine. There’s absolutely no part of that backstory or character arc that I want to spend more time…
If this is Fisher not being cryptic, maybe he should go back to being cryptic. Because if this is the whole story basically boils down to:
Seriously though, just a bizarre defense.
The 50-year-old sedition enthusiast retired from the Salt Lake City Police Department in 2017 after serving about two decades.
This is notable as a county medical examiner initially ruled that Floyd died of “cardiopulmonary arrest,” a.k.a., a heart attack.
Nitpick here: cardiopulmonary arrest does not mean a heart attack. You can have a heart attack without being in cardiopulmonary arrest; in fact, people having heart attacks will actually…

This is what makes Trumpism work. This is the dark heart of our political moment. Even people who are tremendously vulnerable themselves, like Crystal Minton, support Trump because of his capacity to inflict pain on others they detest. The cruelty, as the Atlantic’s Adam Serwer says, is the point. [emphasis added] [htt…
