It would be interesting to see some financial reasons in all this. It is quite clear r these companies do not see games as games but more as just another product. It seems to me that somehow live service games are still more profitable when compared to single experiences. It would be interesting to see these numbers

Yes, however this article was published a coupl of days before the trailer came out. The article also clearly states it is based on the pictures.

This whole article is solely based on you not liking 2 or pictures?! How about you go back to the old Kotaku days and do some proper reporting again. I used to really love your different takes on topics. This just negative writing in order to hopefully attract the clicks.

Great, more plastic crap we don’t need, made in China and transported over half the world adding to the global problems once again. How about just taking your own container from home and wash it afterwards?

For the most part I agree with you. But what I do not agree with is that it is completely in the hands of corporations whether or not I can play a game in the future which I bought. I feel that there should be some legislation forcing companies to keep single player games downloadable for life and make multiplayer

For me the most disappointing thing this yearb was Kotaku's complete ignoring of all the news around the Escapist and the follow up channel Second Wind. It was a huge story with big implications and typically the think Kotaku loves to write about. And yet, it was completely silent. Really made me wonder who or what is

Are you aware that ai has been used succesfully in many fields, like medicine, for many years already? It is nothing like nfts at all. It's just now come to the attention of the masses and other commercial industries.

The punishment he's getting is the exact opposite of what you are suggesting. You might want to read the actual news article first and look up what this kind of sentence actually means.

There is of course a very different way of looking at this as well. You and your wife actively went out to try to get all kinds of products and foods you didn't really need. You wanted to buy products you had no real need for and give the billionaires more money. You drove everywhere in your car, giving oil

While I personally never care about remakes or remasters, the consumers seem to say as quickly as possible. If millions of people buy the game again even if it was released a year ago, then it is not too early apparently.

I think you are missing an important point here. These kind of changes are always only in the benefit of the company, not in the benefit of the consumer. That is what everyone is getting geared up about. Of course the company will have to find some benefits to sell it. But this has nothing to do with console gamers.

Do not underestimate how smart these people are. They do incredibly dumb and immoral stuff yes, bet they can be brilliant in their own way. That’s what makes them so scary and powerful. Long term planning and making moves noone expects is exactly what they are good at.

He made hundreds of millions and now that shit hits the fan he can nicely leave, is not held accountable, and is free do the same at the next company. I don’t think he will see this as a failure at all. Most likely, this is exactly how he works.

I agree with you when pay reaches a certain threshold. I coach a lot of management and in general I see pay is more about responsibility. In healthy companies and organizations it is those who dare to stand for the team and the decisions who get a higher pay, managment runs higher risks, so they get compensated for

Kotaku, can you please stop treating AI as if it is some universal terrible evil come upon this world. There is literally nothing wrong with using chatGPT for this. That is the same as complaining that they used the spell check in Word. AI is doing amazing things for many years in the world already in for example the

Not strange after so much hype that so many people are trying it out. At the same time we'll see an enormous drop in players soon. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thought the game is very boring and unimpressive. I thought the story and world building was very flat. Everything feels very disjointed and not

Ok, let's all come to your house and steal your stuff. You are fine with it anyway, based on this comment.

Perfect wording of the situation Stackman.

I think you are correct. You did something helping the law, and anyone giving you shit should have a phone proper look at themselves and really think why they like someone who broke the law more than someone trying to protect it.

What strikes me as odd is people being referred to as Starfield fans in these kinds of articles. How can you be a fan of something which doesn’t even exist yet? It's like I'm saying I'm a fan of this musician whose music I never heard or the movie star whom I never saw.
